Currently I serve as the Head of School of a small Montessori school in Arkansas. Reading is my biggest hobby, followed by yoga and traveling. Sadly, 2020 has not been a good year for travel. So far this year I have read 55 books with a goal to finish 70. Mystery/psychological thrillers are my favorite. I also enjoy historical fiction, general fiction, and memoirs/self-help books. A couple of years ago, I went through a very sudden, drastic, and difficult life change. During that time I discovered Brene Brown and Esther Perel. Their books were so helpful and enlightening. For about six years I wrote an education column in our local newspaper. I love connecting with the process of planning what to write, how to express it, and connecting with readers. Almost everyone in my life tells me that I need to turn my story into a book so that others can benefit from what I have learned the same way I have benefitted from the stories of others.
