I live in Southern California with my husband, three dogs, two cats, and a fish who is home from college with one of my daughters. My twin daughters are in college. I teach high school English, and the very best part of it is working with the students. I even get to teach writing, and it is so much fun to help students find their voice.
Last year, my book started whispering in my ear, “It’s time to write me…”
When this happens, I know to listen. I joined a writing project that summer and wrote half of my memoir. When school started, I got so busy that I allowed my book to come to a halt.
Enter 2020. My book didn’t care about the pandemic. She stopped whispering and started sharply tapping me on the shoulder. “Write me! Finish me! Share me!”
So, here I am, ready to listen, ready to finish, and ready to make a commitment to a writer’s life.
